Rob’s carol makes us happy

Robs Carol Makes Us Happy

Our talented resident at Birralee, Robert Wright, has composed a heartwarming Christmas song, 'What Makes Me Happy (at Christmas Time)' and it's nothing short of magical.

The song has then been recorded by the angelic voices of Carine Primary School Choir - a true collaboration spanning generations.

Robert's song embodies the joyous spirit of Christmas, bringing together the young and the old in a harmonious celebration.

Robert, a brilliant 74-year-old former advertising copywriter with a knack for jingles, has been an enthusiastic participant in our music therapy sessions, led by the talented Marie-Victoire Cumming.

His passion and creativity truly shone through in this project, which was funded by Brightwater's Life's Possibilities program.

The choir recorded the song earlier this month, just in time to spread Christmas cheer, and hosted Robert as a special guest for the performance.

Carine Primary also performed it at their school's Christmas concert, making it a part of their festive traditions.

"First it was my song, now it’s Carine’s song, and I look forward to it becoming a Christmas song for everyone who hears it," says Robert.

And we couldn't agree more!

So, gather your loved ones, watch the video, and let this beautiful song fill your home with happiness and warmth this Christmas.

From all of us at Brightwater, we wish you a Merry Christmas filled with joy, love, and music!
