Our Aged Care Homes in Perth

Brightwater Residential Aged Care Banner

24/7 care in a home to call your own.

We understand that it’s important to have family nearby. We have 9 homes across Perth, from Joondalup to Mandurah, providing support for a range of mid and high care needs. We also have homes that specialise in supporting people living with dementia.

Our team gets to know each and every one of our residents. Not just their names. And not just their needs. They’ll listen to who you are and where you’ve been, honouring the past and looking positively to the future.

3D Food Printing

Brightwater and Edith Cowan University are exploring the potential of using 3D food printing in residential aged care to create nutritious, visually appealing meals that are easier to eat and more enjoyable than traditional texture-modified food.

This research could lead to better nutrition, improved health, and more positive mealtime experiences for residents in aged care homes.

Developing & Testing Sensory Support

Many older Australians with cognitive impairment or dementia also have hearing and vision problems. When hearing or vision problems are not well supported, the effects of cognitive impairment or dementia are often worse.

SENSECog is a global research community working in many countries to support healthy eyes, ears, and minds. SENSECog have partnered with Brightwater on two projects, one to improve sensory support for people with dementia living in residential aged care and to explore the sensory needs of older Australians using home care services.
