Brightwater’s purpose-built Huntington’s Campus in Piara Waters has been recognised at the 2025 WA AILA Landscape Architecture Awards, receiving the Landscape Architecture Award in the Community Contribution category.
The award shines a light on what truly matters to Brightwater, which is about creating spaces where people living with neurological conditions can feel at home, stay connected and live well.
Designed for people with complex neurological needs, including Huntington’s Disease, the Piara Waters campus reflects Brightwater’s belief that care environments should support not just physical health, but the mind, body and soul.

From peaceful green areas that invite connection, to sensory gardens and accessible, home-like touches, every element was thoughtfully considered. The project also reflects input from clients, families and experts across clinical, environmental and social domains.
The AILA recognition places Piara Waters alongside some of the state’s most impactful design projects and acknowledges the deep purpose behind its creation.
Brightwater extends its thanks to project collaborators KPA Architects, Dale Alcock Projects, and Deep Green Landscaping, whose expertise helped bring this vision to life.

Piara Waters is just one example of how we design spaces where people with complex needs can thrive, connect and belong.
