Celebrating 25 Years at The Oaks

The Oaks has reached an incredible milestone — 25 years of providing care, connection and community.

To mark the occasion, residents, staff, and guests gathered for a morning of celebration. With coffee from a local van (thanks to Life’s Possibilities funding) and a delicious birthday cake from the local bakery, the atmosphere was filled with warmth, laughter, and plenty of shared memories.

Craig Shearer, Brightwater’s Residential Aged Care General Manager, joined the festivities to recognise some truly special people:

  • Kevin – 38 years with Brightwater, including 25 at The Oaks

  • Lorraine & Christine – 25 years of dedication each

  • Clare – recipient of a Brightwater Spirit Award for her care and quick thinking

  • Neil – a much-loved long-time resident, presented with his own gift
